In the scope of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), a series a series of standards have been set concerning surgical drapes, gowns and clean air suits, made from woven or nonwoven material, used as medical devices for patients, clinical staff and equipment. These standards define the performance requirements and the corresponding test methods.
